WHAT IS WELL WITCHES?
Well Witches is the Game Design & Art Collaboration's 2025 mock studio game, a 2-player "bullet hell" in which the player unlocks various abilities and progresses through the game between procedurally generated maps.
RESPONSIBILITIES AS LEAD PRODUCER
Coordinated a 16-member production department through managing and timelining an Agile dev cycle
Facilitated weekly cross-departmental production meetings to review task progress, sprint goals, and overall development progress, structurally based on Daily Scrum
Review progress within individual departments to facilitate any necessary support or further discussions
CHALLENGES
Well Witches had a significant jump in scope compared to GDA's previous game. The player experience is shaped heavily by the amount of content the game offers, such as the diversity of quests and abilities they have to experiment with, and as such a significant amount of production was dedicated to negotiating these quantitative values and allocating the relevant tasks needed for content production.
